Life is hard. It can be stressful. For ourselves, for our kids.

When I think of going to see a counselor, I get a knot in my stomach. It’s strange right? Meeting someone new, knowing you are going to share with them things you may have never told another living soul… And I’m a counselor, I’ve heard it all.

So.

If you are reading this, know I, too, have been there.

My job, which I see as my calling, is to meet you right where you are. This whole experience is to be an untangling of that knot and any others. We will do it together. Perhaps I will help guide you to deal with deep down more entrenched gnarls, or allow the surface tangles to be guided gently apart. Wherever you are stuck, in your day to day thoughts, anxiety, traumas, daily struggles, or depression, let’s find a way to untangle it.

Along the way I will provide tools and effective strategies to keep you or your child on the right track.

What about the art part? THIS is my JAM. I “art it out,” and over the years I’ve helped countless others do the same. I will help you to unleash inner thoughts and feelings into your artwork and out of yourself.

You do not need any prior art experience- WHATSOEVER. It will be woven in our journey together and become a great tool to learn to utilize on your own! We can use as much or as little artistic process as you’d care to. I’m both a trained counselor and art therapist. I’ll suggest art processes based on your needs and what media you are drawn to. The art can clarify, it can loosen, and it can soothe those tangles. When you need to “talk it out,” I am available for traditional “talk” or psychotherapy as well.
